Autumn's Approach-Why It's My Favorite Time
Autumn is approaching and I have to say it's my favorite time of year (despite this year being a wild and crazy ride). It's also Virgo month, and my Sun Sign is Virgo so I am in my element of focus, clarity, attention to detail, and building foundations. I truly do love this season, not only because it begins to cool down, the leaves change colors, and we harvest what we have grown (literally and metaphorically). But also because this is a transitional time between the fire of summer and the darkness of winter when I am in my most fluid and flowing time. Some of that is because of my personal rhythms of life, but most of it is because of the energy of the season.
So it is a time to celebrate the harvest that we have nourished all year (or perhaps for several years) but also because THIS is the time (along with Spring)..and NOT January to plant the seeds for the next cycle. And because it is during Virgo time, you have the energy of looking at the details and understanding how much energy you have to put into your visions, before the time of darkness comes. This is where I am truly in my Element. Every September/October is a hugely energetic and creative time for me and I look forward to it every year.
And as the leaves drop from the trees, it is also time to honor what perhaps DID NOT happen this year, decided whether you are going to re-energize it or let it go (the process of leaves falling is both...a letting go..and a requirement to nourish and energize the tree so it can produce the following spring).
So I invite you to spend some time over the next few weeks (between now and the Equinox) to journal on what you are celebrating, what you are desiring to re-energize or let go of, and lastly what seed ideas (or bulbs if you prefer) are sparking you and asking for attention. And look at how many of those ideas are ones you truly want to put energy into, really feel it in your body, and understand the details and actions required..knowing that we are approaching a time of darkness and also a time of Holidays and being with family. AND KNOW that you don't have to have anything done by December 31st...that is a made up story. But look at your seeds as things that may begin to sprout next Spring. Trust me when I say this is a much more fluid and relaxed way of being, AND YES you do still get things done. In fact you get even more done, because you are operating in Nature's flow not some made up calendar and goal setting system that puts us in overwhelm.
To learn more about how to begin working in a cyclical flowing rhythm (and get s**t done without exhausting and overwhelming yourself), every Fall and Spring Equinox I teach a creative class (no art experience required) called Your Vision Garden where you tap into your own Inner Wisdom about what projects, seed ideas, and personal life desires you want to put your time, energetic, and financial resources into for the next cycle, and gain a REAL understanding of the visions you have. Details are in the button below. I do hope you can join me, it is great fun!
Love and Light,
Dina
