A Forced Slow Down
This past week has proven to be interesting. I seem to be forced to take my own medicine of SLOWING DOWN! First, Colorado got hit with a snowstorm that kept me out of the studio for 4 days. It was so difficult to be motivated while cozied up at home watching the snow. Yes, I can work from here, but it proved why I knew I needed a space separate from my home to work. The energy here is so relaxed that I find it difficult to work. Despite that I began to write an epic newsletter for you this week, and I kept resisting finishing it. I have so much to say. THEN I dropped my laptop, not once but twice and broke it, probably beyond repair. Thank Goddess for ICLOUD drive. But now I am hobbling along with a barely working old laptop, and typing on an IPAD, talk about moving slow.
And for the icing on the cake, when I went into the studio today, the roof is leaking and my ceiling tiles need replaced tomorrow. So I can't get to Apple until Sunday. Mercury most certainly has gone retrograde! The good news is, I was forced to slow down, I painted, I created. Exactly what I wanted to do, BUT had I had a working computer I know I would have worked instead. So I am taking my own medicine, I am slowing down, as we are invited to in the nature-based traditions, between Samhain and Imbolc (Oct 31-Feb. 1) which is the time to be in the dreaming and visioning state. I am taking my own medicine.
I also took it as a message to sit on the first newsletter I began writing for another week. And not type painstakingly slowly on my IPAD. So you will receive that, but not yet. In the meantime I thought I would share this process I created for how to sit with, feel into, and say a HELL YES, HELL NO, or YES, but not now for all the ideas you come up with. Since this is the beginning of the visioning time of the year, and the veils between the worlds are very thin, you inevitably will be receiving messages, visioning, getting ideas and A-HA's. Probably lots of them if you slow down and relax into this time of the year. And if you do get all of the ideas brewing, now is not the time to go gangbusters with them, but to sit with them, ask if they serve your higher visions, and if the are "yours to do". Put them in the cauldron and let them swirl around, until you have completed your visioning into 2020. So I hope you enjoy, and I am here to answer any questions about the process and support you in any way I can.
And because we are entering the dreaming time, and because so often when we vision we vision out work and leave out the whole rest of our lives. OR out visions don't include our DREAMS into what could be possible, I created a class called Dreambook 2020. Its a repository; a dreamspace and a dreaming place to bring your dreams into form in a book that you create and add to throughout the year. To learn more visit. I hope you can join me.
