Acts of Creativity Both Big and Small

I apologize that it has been a while since I have written. I think we have all been in an ebb and flow of different emotions, energies, feelings, and thoughts. I was definitely in a creative ebb, and the inspiration seeds are beginning to come back into some semblance of a flow. And so before I go any further, I want to say this letter is NOT about a push to create anything big, or if you don't learn a new language, homeschool your kid into an Ivy League College, or build an entirely new business, then you lack discipline. In fact, that meme infuriated me. But what this message IS about, is that I want you to be aware that you are creating in every moment of your life. That is a Universal Law. We are always in creation, and yet we have no control over the outcome of those creations. But make no mistake, you are always creating, AND you are at choice for what you create, from moment to moment. So my invitation to you is to be in deep awareness of what you are creating, what you are putting your energy towards, if it is bringing you joy, and if it is for your highest good and the highest good of the whole. And that it is your choice to create big things or small things; earth shattering things or mundane things that bring you comfort.

It all counts, it is all creation.

For a millennia or more the Wisdom Teachers, Sages, and Ascended Masters have been saying we have no control over the outcomes of anything, but we do have co-creative choice between our inner selves, outer selves and the Divine through our words, thoughts and actions in what we want to create in our reality in the present moment. I have been teaching this for years, but I don't feel like many of us have believed it or embodied it all the time (myself included) . I think that humanity has now been forced to believe the truth of that Universal Law. We can only create what is in our hearts and souls in the present moment for our highest good and the outcome is a crap shoot. So it is a wise choice to create what brings you peace and joy in the here and now.

So what will you create?

And when I say create I do not mean painting a masterpiece, writing your Magnum Opus, or creating a 6 figure business although for YOU that might be exactly what you choose to do. So many of the world's greatest works came out of trauma, pain and suffering; but many also came out of joy, peace, and ecstasy. Many came from a combination of both. They were born out of the paradox of both expressions in our lives. The shadow and the light, the pain and the joy, the ability to have more than one emotion at a time and express it.

But for most of us mere mortals our expressions come through in so many seemingly mundane and ordinary ways. And even the mundane and ordinary is a creative act. And I would like for you to honor that in yourself. It is ALL a form of expression. From cooking dinner, to beautifying your space or your body, to planting a garden, to sewing masks for people. AND YES creating art, writing, dancing and all the multitude of ways we express..or that we consider "real art". But creativity is not either/or it is both/and and we just have to show up for it. I had to come to that realization in the last few weeks when I wasn't feeling very "creative". I was a little disappointed that I wasn't writing or painting (because finally I have the time and spaciousness to do so), having the inner dialogue that I wasn't being "creative enough". So I had to have an Inner Wise Woman talk with myself, to be graceful, to remind myself to find the magic in the mundane, to slow down, to be present with whatever it was I was or wasn't doing, and to KNOW that every bit of it is a creation. And from that place of shadow, as Universal Law reminds us, the light comes, the ideas get born, and the seeds get planted. And when they get planted from a place of presence they are even more powerful than when they are born from a place of obligation..or what the external world says you should put your energy towards.

There is so much liberation in that.

So I would love for you to spend some time with yourself (not like we haven't been doing that anyway) and ask what it is you would desire to put your creative energy into. What and how would you love to express yourself? And really listen to the answer. And then bring it into form, in whatever way feels like grace for you.

And I personally would love to hear what you came up with, and if I can reflect for you, witness you in your creation, or provide inspiration or guidance. I am here to listen.

We will also be chatting about what can emerge from this place of mystery if we just allow it in my FB group next week. I would love for you to join us at the link below.

Love and Light,
